• The election committee may submit only one list of candidates in each electoral district.
§ 2. The list of candidates in council elections:
1) in a commune of up to 20,000 inhabitants, may contain only one name;
2) in a commune of more than 20,000 inhabitants, may not contain less than 5 names of candidates, provided that the number of candidates may not exceed the number of councilors elected in a given electoral district, increased by two candidates.
§ 3. On the list referred to in § 2 item 2:
1) the number of female candidates may not be less than 35% of the number of all candidates on the list;
2) the number of male candidates may not be less than 35% of the number of all candidates on the list. (Electoral code, article 425)
• If the defect in the application consists of a failure to meet the requirement referred to in Art. 425 § 3, the commission shall call upon the proxy to remove it within 2 days. In the event that the defect is not removed within the time limit, the commission shall refuse to register the application in its entirety. (Electoral code, article 431)
• The number of candidates on the list may not be less than 3 and greater than the number councilors elected in a given electoral district, increased by two candidates.
