• The principle of the quota of at least thirty percent (30%) of women is recognized at all levels of national life, notably in the public services. (Constitution, article 17.1)
• Any law concerning the Political Parties must reserve in its structures and in its mechanisms of functioning a treatment in conformity with the principle of the quota of at least thirty percent (30%) of women. (Constitution, article 31.1.1)

• The municipal council is composed of three (3) members, one (1) mayor or a mayoress and two (2) [male] assessors or [female] assessors. The cartel includes at least one woman. (Electoral decree, article 58)
• The administrative council of the municipal section (CASEC) is composed of three (3) members: one (1) President and two (2) Assessors. The cartel includes at least one woman. (Electoral decree, article 62)
• Pending regional planning measures and the establishment of an official list of inhabitants by communal section, the number of members to be elected to form the ASECs is determined according to the electorate of each communal section and is provisionally fixed as follows: for 5 elected representatives, at least two women; for 7 elected representatives, at least three women; for 9 elected representatives, at least three women. (Electoral decree, article 66)
• The party or political group which registers 30% of women benefits from a reduction of 40% on the registration fees. The party or political group which registers 10% of people with a disability benefits from a reduction of 30% on the Registration fees. (Electoral decree, article 92.1)
