• All candidate lists for the popular election and candidate lists for positions in bodies for management and political representation will be integrated in an equal and alternate manner. [The candidate] in the first place of each one of the lists of popular election by province, canton and district will be defined by the political party. The General directorate of the electoral registry will not register the lists of popular election by province, canton and district of the political parties that fail to comply with equal and alternate participation. • For single-member or list ballots, a minimum of 30% of women out of the total number of candidates presented during the electoral consultation is required. Any list of candidates must respect the alternation of the sexes so that if two candidates of the same sex are entered, the third is of the other sex. (Law to promote the representation of women, article 3)
• Any political party or political grouping whose list reaches at least 50% of women candidates, during one of the ballots provided for in article 2 of this law, shall benefit from additional public funding. (Law to promote the representation of women, article 4)
