Single House:
• For the elections to the National Assembly, women have a minimum quota for places amongst candidate lists, as follows: in electoral circumscriptions with three seats, the candidate lists will contain at least one woman candidate, in the first or second position on the list. In the electoral circumscriptions having more than three seats, with an exception to the national list reserved for women, each list is composed of one candidate of each sex, alternating, and, within each grouping of four consecutive candidates on the list, there must be an equal number of candidates of each sex. Additionally, the difference between the number of candidates of each sex cannot be greater than one. (Parity Law, article 4)
