According to Article 49.4 of the Constitution: ‘The elections law shall aim to achieve a percentage of representation for women of not less than one-quarter of the members of the Council of Representatives.

Single House:
• The women's proportion in the list must be guaranteed to be at least 25%.(Election law, article 16)
• No fewer that 1 out of four candidates must be women. (Election Law, article 14)
• The total number of women elected must not be not less than 25% (82 women). (Election Law, article 16)
• If the women's quota is fulfilled according to the results of the elections in the governorate, there will be no process for additional seats. If the women's quota is not achieved, new seats are distributed as follows: one seat is added to the constituency with the lowest percentage of women. If the quota is still not reached, the process is repeated as many times as needed. (Election Law, article 16)
• One seat is added to the number of winning women for each constituency. b. The number obtained as a result of the process in Paragraph (a) is divided by the total number of seats allocated to the electoral district to determine the percentage of winning women in case of an increase. NS. One seat is added to the number of women's seats for the constituency with the lowest percentage. Dr.. If the required number of seats for women allocated to the council is not completed according to what was stated in paragraphs (a, b, and c), there will be a new process starting from paragraph (a) with the calculation of the increase that occurred previously in paragraph (c).
