Single House:
• Candidacies for parliamentary elections must be composed alternatively of 50% of each sex according to the principle of parity. In cases where it is not possible to apply parity, candidacies must still have a minimum of 40% and a 60% of each sex. This formula applies for principal or substitute candidates, as well as candidates through the individual or list system of election. (Special Regulation to guarantee the rights of political participation on an equal basis in the elections of deputies to the national assembly of 2015, article 3)
• Candidacies that do not follow the rules of parity and alternance will be considered invalid. (Special Regulation to guarantee the rights of political participation on an equal basis in the elections of deputies to the national assembly of 2015, article 5)
