Legal provisions - Electoral Law
Single House:
• For constituency-based lists, independent parties, coalitions of cooperating parties and independents must present at least 40% of the total number of their candidates from all genders , respectively, per constituency. The above restriction does not apply to the nation-wide ballot. In any case, the total number of candidates of the electoral lists of independent parties, coalitions of cooperating parties and independent of any gender in the whole Territory, with the exception of the candidates for State MPs, must amount to 33% of the total number of their candidates. (Electoral Law, article 34)
• 1 . Within two (2) days after the expiration of the deadline for submission of nominations, the AD Department of the Supreme Court announces in a public meeting the electoral combinations, as they were declared in accordance with articles 34 and 34A. (Electoral Law, article 35)
