Single House:
• Participation will be governed by the principle of parity that implies that all delegations, party lists, and other peer bodies will be composed of 50% women and 50% men, and the difference between total men and women may not be greater than one. (Electoral Code, article 2)
• All party lists for elections will alternate candidates by sex (woman-man or man-woman), in such a way that two same-sex people cannot be consecutively in the list. (Electoral Code, article 2)
